in new window)
Laffoely explains the development of the modern concept of hyperspace,
starting with the greek concept of the FATES and follows the logic
on up past modern "SuperString" theory. Laffoley's ladder
of reality embraces both the mathematical aspects of Spatial dimensions
and the mental or experiential aspects of Temporal dimensions.
This rather long & detailed essay should put to rest any
questions of whether Paul is making this stuff up ....
or is truly familiar with the history of science. It is included
on the borders of the Dimensionality
poster.
SOMAKATOLIGON: Degrees of Embodiment - Art and Mind-Physics
"The theme of this project and exhibition concerns the interaction
between art and the physics of conciousness or Mind Physics".
Essay by Laffoley for exhibition in 1996. Includes interesting
historical information on the merging of occultism, science and
art in the last 200 years.
DISCO VOLANTE: The Flying Saucer
Laffoley explains his obsession with the film "the Day the
Earth Stood Still" and the origins of his interest in alien
mythology, contact folklore and UFO facts. Also explains a bit
about the development of the concept of the THANATON as a "new
classical form".
MONSTER ELEVEN -

Written in the gothic horror tradition of the beloved H.P.
Lovecraft & friends.
This tale of demons and mysteries is connected with his research
and experiences in creating the work "Pickman's Mephitic

See the Thoughtform for the painting which is this same story
- and the interview in Paranoia Magazine for better context.
